Vacheron Constantin Launches Les Cabinotiers Loft Craftsman’s Superb ‘art Deco’ Watch And ‘imperial Crocodile Totem’ Watch

• Subtle fusion of various complex functions and art crafts
• Super complicated movement
• Both watches are double-sided dial timepieces with 16 and 15 complex functions, including minute repeater, tourbillon, perpetual calendar and time equation.
• Hand-carved 18K gold case
• Unique timepieces
Vacheron Constantin’s exclusive Les Cabinotiers attic artisan series adds two more masterpieces of watches. These two unique pieces not only possess a number of advanced watchmaking complications, they also highlight the extraordinary hand-carving art. Both double-sided watches have a fully hand-carved gold case and a manual winding movement, carrying 16 and 15 complications, respectively. Precision micromechanics and exquisite craftsmanship blend subtly in these two watches. Les Cabinotiers’ superb and sophisticated ‘Ornementale Art Deco’ watch has a purple dial and a ‘Victorian’ pattern around the case. Les Cabinotiers craftsman’s superb and sophisticated ‘Crocodile Totem’ watch dial is dark brown, and the case is decorated with a crocodile pattern. The elegant alligator leather strap with a pin buckle decorated with the corresponding motifs complements these two masterpieces, while the watch is also equipped with a distinguished Makassar ebony winding display box.

These two unique new timepieces have an extraordinary movement and case, which are inspired by the brand’s most complex watch launched in 2005 at the time-the famous Vacheron Constantin Tour de l’Île watch. This watch is also a tribute to the brand’s extraordinary watchmaking craftsmanship since 250 years. The two double-sided watches launched by Vacheron Constantin this time have 16 and 15 complex functions, respectively, integrating multiple complex functions in a limited space and highlighting exquisite arts and crafts, once again highlighting the brand’s outstanding watchmaking skills.
These two masterpieces were created by Vacheron Constantin’s exclusive Les Cabinotiers department, which is responsible for customizing high-end watches. They respect and reproduce the top watchmakers in Geneva-the ‘Attic Craftsmen’ were commissioned by their valued customers in the attic workshop. And the tradition of creating unique timepieces. Every rare piece born in this department combines this concept with outstanding watchmaking skills, extraordinary handcraft skills and unique artistic creativity. In addition, the watch is specially engraved with the Geneva mark, marking its compliance with the strict requirements of this independent quality certification mark.
Movement drives 16 and 15 complications
The manual-winding movements of these two watches are extraordinary in micro-craftsmanship and mechanical engineering. They can drive 16 and 15 complex functions, most of which are astronomical functions. In addition to the hours and minutes, the front dial can display 11 other complex functions: minute repeater, time equation, tourbillon, perpetual calendar (date, week, month and leap year display), power reserve and sunrise and sunset times. Les Cabinotiers’ super sophisticated ‘Art Deco’ watch is also equipped with a chronograph torque display function, which can display the power reserve of the minute repeater function. The dial on the back presents a number of exquisite astronomical complications: star maps, halves (spring and autumn equinox) and solstice (summer and winter solstice), stellar hour and stellar minute, moon age and moon phase, and season and constellation indications.
The front dial clearly shows a number of major complications. The minute repeater setting of hour, minute, and second can be set as required. It is equipped with a centripetal flying chronograph governor developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin, showing the brand’s outstanding watchmaking technology. The device is completely silent during operation, and can effectively avoid excessive wear caused by long-term operation. By adjusting the duration of the time sequence, the time sequence can be pleasant and clear. The tourbillon, which represents Vacheron Constantin’s superb watchmaking technology, is framed by the brand’s iconic Maltese cross shape. The tourbillon rotates one revolution per minute to improve the accuracy of the movement by offsetting the effect of gravity, and it also has a small second hand display. In addition, the ‘time storage’ perpetual calendar function follows a complex Gregorian calendar, which requires manual adjustment only every 400 years. The famous time equation function requires watchmakers to have a wealth of professional skills to accurately calculate the difference between true solar time and solar time. A finishing touch on the front dial is a ‘custom complication’ that shows the sunrise and sunset times, which can be set according to the reference city chosen by the customer.
The second dial on the back of the watch not only has many complicated functions, but also is divided into two layers in the dial display. The center of the dial shows the starry sky map of the northern hemisphere and four azimuth basis points. The north-south part shows the month and stellar time based on ‘true solar time.’ The small hands moving along the edge of the dial on the first layer are used to indicate the age of the month (ie, the number of days that have passed since the last full moon); while the slender central hand with a sun pattern on the end rotates around the dial and points to the date and constellation in the outer circle And the season, and finally show the two points (spring and autumn equinox) and two to the day (summer and winter solstice) corresponding to the current date.
As a member of Vacheron Constantin’s most sophisticated and complex movement, the super-complex ‘Art Deco’ watch is composed of 839 parts. The super-complex ‘Imperial Crocodile Totem’ watch is equipped with a movement composed of 836 parts. The power reserve is about 58 hours, the diameter is 33.9 mm, and the thickness is 12.15 mm. Presenting 16 or 15 complex functions in such a limited space and ensuring accurate travel time and clear display of the front and back dials show the superb craftsmanship of the brand. The 47mm diameter gold case is specially designed to enhance the sound quality of the minute repeater. In addition, each part is carefully tuned to ensure optimal performance, and is uniquely refined by hand polishing.
Les Cabinotiers Attic Masterpieces

This extraordinary timepiece graces multiple functions on a double-faced sunburst satin-finished fuchsia gold dial. The front dial features appliquéd hour-markers, sword-shaped hands, and subtle swirl-shaped small dials, which complement each other with the radiance of the carved white gold case. Its classic decorative patterns are inspired by 19th-century Victorian architecture and are hand-carved on the bezel, ring, lugs and pin buckle. This micro-carving technique shows the traditional skills of the brand that have been passed down from generation to generation. It requires craftsmen to have deft hands and meticulous thoughts, and use a variety of carving knives and other professional tools to perform convex engraving, bas-relief engraving and a variety of fine line carving techniques. It took more than 150 hours in total.
Les Cabinotiers Attic Masterpiece

The case of this timepiece is engraved with two giant crocodiles covered with three-dimensional scales. The giant crocodile is carved from a whole piece of gold. It uses ramolaye technology and multiple tail douce techniques (including matte, sandblasting, brushing and polishing). Operation skills and superb skills. The crocodile’s eyes were sharp and majestic. Under the ingenious treatment of the sculpting master, its three-dimensional scale ring cloth bezel, lugs and case back are different in size and exquisite details. They show different look and feel effects under different light, showing the giant crocodile king. The sparkle of pink gold complements the understated elegance of the dark brown double-sided dial. The delicate and clear dial on the front is adorned with pink gold hour markers, willow-shaped hands, and delicate swirl-shaped small dials.

The caseback is engraved with the words ‘Unique Watch’, ‘Attic Craftsman’ and the AC (Atelier Cabinotiers) mark. Les Cabinotiers’ superb and sophisticated ‘Art Deco’ watch and ‘Imperial Crocodile Totem’ watch are equipped with Mississippi alligator leather Strap and hand-engraved buckle, premium Makassar ebony winding display box, pen and magnifier.

Parmigiani Kalpa Chronor

Parmigiani impressed people with Kalpa Chronor to showcase the new generation of Kalpa watches-equipped with the world’s first pure gold automatic winding integrated double-trailing chronograph movement. The barrel-shaped watch is water-resistant to 30 meters and is hand-polished in 18K rose gold. The watch measures 48.2 x 40.4 mm and incorporates an extraordinary movement developed and manufactured entirely in-house. The PF365, a movement certified by the Observatory, was developed over six years and can oscillate at a high frequency of 36,000 vibrations / hour (5 Hz), thus achieving a reading accuracy of one tenth of a second. The Haute Horlogerie movement has a power reserve of approximately 65 hours, is equipped with a column wheel and a vertical clutch device, and provides precise metering accuracy and user comfort. The material is malleable and the processing is very complicated, which further highlights the rare quality and expertise in design, piercing and decoration. In addition, this movement is equipped with a variable inertia balance wheel, which is fixed by a cross-type bridge, which improves stability and shock resistance. On the dial side, the PF365 movement provides hours, minutes, small seconds and countdown functions, and is equipped with a speedometer and date window. At the back, the barrel-shaped opening is large in size, and the top is matched with a sapphire crystal glass, giving a glimpse of the new shaped movement. The movement is wound with a 22K gold automatic top with barley grain motif. The 18K gold and black dual design dial is elegantly shot-blasted in the central part, and the flange part is decorated with hand-woven effect machine-engraved pattern details. The chronograph dial is enlarged and located slightly above the center point to provide higher readability. The round date window with a golden outline is located at 12 o’clock, and the disc and gold powder with white numbers are displayed below Decoration ‘1’. Triangular hands with luminous coating and hand-applied 18K rose gold faceted hour markers. The hour markers are also equipped with a luminous coating that matches the folding clasp on the Hermes black alligator strap. The timepiece is extraordinary in design, limited to 50 pieces.
