Iwc And Lawrence Sports Charity Foundation Presented Engineers Automatic Watches To The Winning Girls In The Uganda Painting Competition

Recently, Schaffhausen IWC came to Uganda and presented an engineer “Lawrence Sports Charity Foundation” special edition automatic watch (model: IW323909) to the drawing competition winning girl Nakayenga Zahara. The back of the watch is beautifully engraved and reproduces the winning paintings of the girls in the children’s drawing competition organized by Schaffhausen. The awards ceremony was held at a local school. The community AIDS prevention program (COBAP) employees, children supported by the Lawrence Sports Foundation and mothers of Nakayenga Zahara participated in the celebration. The girls also received a one-year school education sponsorship.

As part of its sponsorship support and fulfillment of its commitment to the Lawrence Sports Charity Foundation, Schaffhausen IWC visited the community’s AIDS control offices, stadiums and local schools. The atmosphere at the scene was enthusiastic and active, and representatives of Schaffhausen IWC and the Lawrence Sports Foundation were welcomed by warm applause. Nakayenga Zahara’s exquisite paintings show the values that Schaffhausen insists on: passion, commitment, responsibility and performance.

Georges Kern, CEO of the brand, said: ‘The project of the Lawrence Sports Foundation is of great significance and Schaffhausen IWC is proud to participate in it.’

Schaffhausen IWC sponsors and supports the Lawrence Sports Charity Foundation charity project on a global level. Each year, a limited edition watch is launched, featuring a Lawrence blue color scheme, which means hope, and the bottom of the watch is engraved with award-winning paintings. As in the past, part of the sales proceeds of this watch will be donated to the Lawrence Sports Foundation.

Edwin Moses, Chairman of the Lawrence World Sports Academy, Tegla Loroupe, a Kenyan long-distance runner, and members of the Lawrence World Sports Academy attended the award ceremony. Edwin Moses said: ‘Lawrence has collaborated with Schaffhausen IWC for more than a decade. The sales of limited watches donated by IWC will be used directly to support the Lawrence charity project, allowing children to have hope and dream freely. Sports is an effective way to promote social change, and I would like to thank Schaffhausen for your valuable support. ‘
